Snooker 2015 – The Year In Review

Below are some of the special moments for 2015 and snooker in Canada.  We hope you enjoyed them as much as we did and look forward to creating more in 2016.

  • Reached 100, 000 hits for the youtube video produced on the basic rules of snooker
  • Sanctioned a memorial tournament in British Columbia for snooker promoter Ted Wormworth
  • Received a congratulatory letter from Prime Minister Harper for the Richler Cup
  • Hosted the $20 000 Richler Cup at Humber College in Toronto, introduced snooker to students
  • For the first time in 20 years, created a platform for snooker to be on Canadian television again
  • Met with the Canadian Olympic Committee to discuss the future of snooker and it’s place in Canada
  • Met with the Minister of Sport to discuss the future of snooker and it’s place in Canada
  • Launched a National Canadian Snooker Tour with over 100 players registered in the first 2 months
  • Created a league software for the New Canadian Snooker Tour with stats, pictures, videos, & more
  • Formed a Disciplinary Committee to keep the players within the guidelines of the game
  • Increased the prize money to $25 000 for the Richler Cup, $10 000 to the winner
  • Showcased a snooker table to 20 000 people at the Gentlemen’s Show in Toronto
  • Chose a winner for the Snooker Sweepstakes for an all-inclusive snooker trip for 2 to England
  • Partnered with a creator of apps for the purpose of snooker applications & promotions
