OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. CONTEST PERIOD

1.1 Contest begins at 8:00 a.m. on October 31, 2014 and ends at 12:00 p.m. on October 31, 2015 (“Contest Period”). All times herein are Eastern Times. This contest is conducted and sponsored by Snooker Canada ( the “Contest Sponsor” ) .

2. METHODS OF ENTRY

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.

2.1 If you have a valid contest ticket, entry forms can be completed online at www.snookercanada.com. To be eligible, all completed entry forms must be received during the Contest Period.

2.2 A contest ticket can be obtained at all participating locations. For a location near you, please contact Snooker Canada. All completed entry forms must be received during the Contest Period.

2.3 A ticket that was given by a participating location must be registered, with its unique number, with Snooker Canada in order to be eligible. This can be done by emailing info@snookercanada.ca by filling out the form on www.snookercanada.com. To be eligible, this must be done during the Contest Period.
3. PRIZE (S)

3.1 The Grand Prize – One (1) prize, with an approximate retail value of $1,900.00 (CDN) will be given away. This includes 2 round trip economy class tickets to England, 2 nights standard hotel accommodation (double occupancy); and 2 tickets to a snooker show where snooker players are competing. A random draw for this prize will take place on 8:00 pm (EST) on, October 31, 2015 and will be done live on the internet at www.snookercanada.com. The dates of trip will be determined upon awarding the prize to the winner.

The Grand prize is transferable or assignable and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions in cash or otherwise, except at the Contest Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion for any reason whatsoever, to substitute a prize or a component thereof with a prize or prizes of equal or greater value, including, without limitation, but at the Contest Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, a cash award.

The Releasees (defined below) will not be responsible, however, if weather conditions, Event cancellations, or other factors beyond the Contest Sponsor’s reasonable control prevent a Prize or any part of a Prize from being fulfilled. In any such event, winner will not be provided with a substitute Prize or cash equivalent. Prizes will only be released to the verified winners. Return of any Prize/Prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate eligible winner in accordance with the procedures outlined in these official contest rules.

Any costs or expenses associated with the Grand Prize not outlined as included above, including but not limited to transportation to and from the winner’s home residence and the airport, train or shuttle station or Event, taxes, travel and/or medical insurance, airport improvement fees (if applicable), drinks, meals, gratuities, and any applicable overnight layover are the sole responsibility of the winner and each of his/her respective guests. Winner will be required to use a credit card at hotel check in to cover any and all incidentals not specified as included in the Grand Prize. Winner and his/her respective guests must travel together on the same itinerary departing from the same designated airport, train or shuttle station on the times and dates required or the Grand Prize will be forfeited. All travel arrangements and accommodations must be booked through the Contest Sponsor or its agent. Once itinerary has been finalized between winner and Sponsor; no changes can be made unless approved by the Contest Sponsor. Winner and guests will be required to follow all directions of the Contest Sponsor and/or the Event organizers; failure to do so may result in termination of their participation, or continued participation, in the Grand Prize and/or Event. Winner’s guests must be 18 years of age or older to participate in this Grand Prize and both winner and their respective guests shall be responsible for obtaining all required travel documentation including photo identification. Approximate value of the Grand Prize is $1,900.00 CAD. Actual value will depend on location of winner’s residence. Winner is not entitled to any monetary difference between the actual and stated value, if any.
The Grand Prize winner and his/her travelling companion must be able to travel at the times and dates as determined by the Contest Sponsor in its sole discretion and authority. Failing to do so will result in the Grand Prize will be forfeited by all parties. It is recommended that the Grand Prize winner and his/her travelling companion obtain sufficient personal insurance prior to departure. Travel Dates to be determined by the Contest Sponsor. No change in travel arrangements can be made by the winner once the booking has been confirmed. The Grand Prize may not be used towards any type of frequent flyer mileage, or other reward point accumulation program.

3.2. SECONDARY PRIZES: There are ten (10) secondary prizes (each a, “Secondary Prize”) available to be won at the outset of the Contest. Each Secondary Prize consists of: (i) one free hour of snooker at participating locations with a value of approximately $10.00 CAD each
The Grand Prize and the Secondary Prize may hereinafter be referred to as “Prizes” and individually as a “Prize”.

4. ODDS OF WINNING

4.1 The odds of winning prizes depend on the number of entries.

5. DRAW

5.1 At 8:00 pm (EST) on, October 31, 2015, one (1) entry will be randomly drawn from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. This will be done live at www.snookercanada.com

6. AWARDING THE PRIZE

6.1 Snooker Canada will make every reasonable effort to contact the selected entrant by telephone and/or email within fourteen (14) days of the draw date. Before being declared the winner, the selected entrant, must:

(a) have correctly answered, without mechanical or other assistance, the skill-testing question and
(b) be in full agreement and compliance with these contest rules. A selected entrant who cannot be contacted or who does not agree or comply with these contest rules will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be chosen.
(c) The winner’s guest must also sign the mentioned release form in sub-section G of Section 6.
(d) The Contest Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Contest Sponsor – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification) to participate in this Contest. Failure to provide such proof to the satisfaction of the Contest Sponsor will result in disqualification
(e) In the event Snooker Canada has not received an email response from the potential winner OR has not been able to qualify the potential winner as the official winner (including the administration of the skill testing question as required below) within fourteen (14) days after initially contacting the potential winner, the Contest Sponsor has the right to disqualify the potential winner and an alternate potential winner will be drawn.
(f) Under no circumstances will Snooker Canada, or its directors, officers, and employees, be required to award more prizes than what is indicated in these rules or award the prize other than in accordance with these rules.
(g) By entering this contest, the entrant agrees to abide by all of the contest rules. A Declaration of Compliance and Release of Liability form will be required for all prize winners. Declaration and Release documents must be returned within the time period indicated in the documents or the prize will be forfeited. Prize winner’s guests must also sign and return a Declaration and Release of Liability form prior to travel and/or participating in the prize. The names of guests cannot be changed once the Declaration and Release of Liability form has been received by The Contest Sponsor or its agent.

7. ELIGIBILITY

7.1 To enter and to be eligible to win, entrant must be a legal resident of Canada and be over the age of majority in the province or territory in which he/she resides. Employees, representatives and agents of Snooker Canada and its affiliates, as well as members of their respective immediate families (legal or common law spouses and children), are not eligible to enter the contest. Nor are affiliated or related companies, subsidiaries, divisions, prize sponsors, promotional agencies, advertising agencies and administrators.

7.2 For the purposes of these contest rules, the entrant is the person who is the holder of the ticket that corresponds with the email submitted in the entry form. It is to this individual that the prize will be awarded, if selected, and declared as the winner.

8. GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

8.1 Snooker Canada, including its agents and representatives and those associated with them, are not responsible for any entry form, prize winning notice or prize claim that is late, lost, stolen, delayed, incomplete, misdirected or illegible, all of which will be void, whether or not due to the fault of Snooker Canada or of any other person or thing.

8.2 The decision of the Contest Sponsor is final in respect of any matter relating to the contest. This contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and regulations.

8.3 Snooker Canada reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion, and without prior notice, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this contest, or adjust the dates and/or timeframes for this contest, at any time for any reason. If the contest is terminated or suspended, Snooker Canada may select the winner by a random draw from eligible entries received before that time.

8.4 All prizes must be accepted as described in these contest rules.

8.5 Any incomplete or fraudulent entries will be disqualified. All decisions made by the administrator of the contest are final and binding without right of appeal in all matters relating to
this Contest. This includes all eligibility criteria.

8.6 Snooker Canada reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify, from this Contest and any future contest or other promotion conducted by the Contest Sponsor, any individual that it finds or believes to be not in compliance with these official contest rules; to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest; or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER PERSON TO UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND, SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE CONTEST SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

8.7 In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between the terms and conditions of these official contest rules and disclosures or other statements contained in any Contest-related materials, the terms and conditions of these official contest rules shall prevail, govern and control to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

8.8 All entries become property of the Contest Sponsor and will not be returned.

8.9 By entering this contest, each entrant automatically agrees to accept and abide by these contest rules. All decisions of the Contest Sponsor with respect to any aspect of this contest, including without limitation the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this contest

8.10 The winner is responsible for, and releases Snooker Canada and its affiliates and advertising agencies from, all claims, injuries, and liabilities of whatever nature, damages, losses and costs related to or in any way arising out of this contest (including, without limitation, the delivery, acceptance, insurance and use of the prize).

9. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

9.1 By completing the entry form, the entrant consents to the collection, use and disclosure of his/her personal information by Snooker Canada for the purposes of administering this contest and as permitted by the contest rules.

9.2 The entrant agrees to the use of this information without any compensation or any form of remuneration whatsoever.

9.3 Information included in this agreement include all publicity campaigns related to the contest containing his/her photograph, name, voice, area of business operation, all advertising and news releases including print, broadcast or the internet, and statements regarding the contest or prize.

10. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:

10.1 Without limiting the limitations of liability set forth elsewhere in these official contest rules and/or the Declaration of Compliance and Release of Liability, and for greater certainty, the Contest Sponsor will not be liable for:

a) any incomplete or inaccurate information, which may occur in the capturing and/or processing of entries;
b) the theft, loss, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries;
c) any failure of any entry to be captured or recorded for any reason;
d) any typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this Contest, including but not limited to errors in advertising, these official contest rules, the selection and/or announcement of eligible winner(s), and/or the distribution of any prize(s); and/or
e) from downloading any material from the Contest website or due to viruses or otherwise or breaches of privacy due to interference by third party computers.
f) any combination of the above

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

11.1 All intellectual property, including but not limited to trademarks, trade names, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source codes, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by the Contest Sponsor and/or its affiliates. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or intellectual property without the express written consent of its owner is strictly prohibited.

12. CONTEST TERMS

12.1 This contest will be run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment by the Contest Sponsor. Contestants must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received and understood the rules by participating in the contest. The terms of this contest, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counteroffer, except as set out herein.
