Snooker in the World Games
As part of the World Confederation of Billiards Sports General Assembly last week, the newly appointed board and delegates were given a brief presentation by the IWGA organising committee for the Wroclaw 2017 World Games.
This was followed by a visit to the Congress Centre itself to be shown which areas had been allocated to Pool, Snooker and Carom officials, players and referees.
The WCBS representatives were very impressed by the level of detail that had already been planned for Billiard Sports participation in the games. WCBS Sport Director Farouk El Barki (UMB), local tournament director and WCBS vice president Marcin Krzeminski (WPA) along with WCBS Secretary General Maxime Cassis (World Snooker Federation and IBSF) will now work with the organising committee to make sure everything is in place for Billiard Sports to be one of the stand out sports of the 2017 World Games.
