Peter James Kippie passed away peacefully at home on September 29, 2015 in his 60th year. Predeceased by his mother Norma Simpkins (née Melvin), step-father Cameron Simpkins and father Peter Kippie. Favourite brother of Joanne, dear nephew to Margo Watkins, Valerie Ciccone and John Millar. Loving uncle to Kristopher (Amanda) and great- uncle to their daughter Allie, loving uncle to Sarah and cherished cousin of Mallory.

pic-kippie 2Best friend of Jeff White and close friend of Harry Chaggaris. Devoted partner to Colette Peters and loving father to English Setter “Indy”, Peter was a beloved member of the Kenny-Peters family. Peter was a talented, world-class player of both snooker and nine-ball, with numerous titles and accomplishments, including 1981 Scottish Amateur Snooker Champion, 1986 Ontario Snooker Champion and four perfect games of snooker.

His kind and gentle soul (and great fashion sense!) will be greatly missed by many, but we take comfort that he has gone to a better place. There will be two celebrations of Peter’s life: Brockville, Saturday, October 17th from 2-5 p.m., at Broad Street Billiards, 51 King Street West; and Toronto, Sunday, October 25th from 1-4 p.m. at Corner Bank Billiards, 925 Warden Avenue. Grateful thanks to the entire team who cared for Peter in his last days at home, including Dr. Khosnood, nurses Simcha, Katarina and Tanya and PSWs Dennis, Marva and Marybic.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Peter’s name to the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care at www.tlcpc.org would be appreciated. Thank you, as well, to Aftercare for their kind and professional support. Words of comfort and memories can be posted at www.aftercare.org/ obituaries/Peter-Kippie/ –
