Congratulations to Danny Glumicic on winning the first event of the season, which took place last weekend in Markham, Ontario.

Despite the hot weather, 16 snooker enthusiasts showed up and battled it out at Master Q’s , one of Ontario’s premier snooker destinations.

There were some old faces and also some new ones, including a 14 year old snooker prodigy named Ashkar, who just arrived from Iran last month and is already getting people to talk “Who is this guy?” as he won his first round by a 3-0 score line.

Another young international up and comer, Gabriel Bruning, who recently moved here  from Brasil, participated.  Unfortunately, Gabriel, lost a nail biter the Brando He by a score line of 3-2.

Danny also picks up a free entry to next year’s Richler Cup, which will take place in the province of Ontario in the spring of 2017.

Looking forward to our next event in Kitchener on Sep. 25 at Frederick’s Mall Billiards.

Registrations will be based on a first come first serve basis.
