Team Kitchener Wins Ontario Championships

Congratulations to Team Kitchener for winning the inaugural Doubles Snooker Ontario Championships!

Gerard Morrison and Jerry Phillips battled it out in the finals against David Puddy and Danny Glumicic from Team Hamilton, and boy did it go down to the wire.

With a 2-2 scoreline and only 4 balls remaining on the table, David Puddy from Team Hamilton potted an excellent brown, followed by another difficult blue (even more so under the pressure).   All that was left on the table was the pink and the black .  With partner Danny Glumicic looking on, David barely missed the pot on the pink ball in the side pocket and after going back and forth a couple of times, David tried potting the pink in the far corner and as it looked like it was going in, at the last second, it bobbled at the jaws of the pocket and was left hanging there for Jerry Phillips to close out the championship.

A special thank you goes out to everyone that helped make this event possible.
