Alvin Chan books his spot in the BC Open

New comer Alvin Chan defeats a veteran of the game Gary Wallace to win the first BC Open qualifier of the season.  Chan, who was losing to Mehran Maneshgar in the quarterfinals by a score of 2-1, found something to win that match 3-2.  Chan didn’t look back after that by taking out Charlie Brown in the semis and booking his name into the BC Open with a 3-1 victory of veteran player Gary Wallace.  Merhan Maneshgar achieved the highest break of the tournament with a 61.  It’s great to see that the standard of play continues to get better and better.  Well done everyone!!!  It was great seeing some new faces in the room, along with the usual cast of characters.

Big thanks to Jonathan Sun and the crew at Top 147 that helped us have a great tournament.  In addition, much gratitude to Rob Johnson and the crew at AAA labs with creating the poster to get the word out to everyone about the tournament.  Thanks to Sam Tonning for his help behind the scenes, and thanks to all the players that showed up and gave it their best.
