Full Sweep for Darcy Fulton in Calgary

Darcy Fulton has won the 2024 Calgary Snooker League Tournament. This makes a clean sweep of this year’s events for Darcy who also won both the fall and winter sessions of the Snooker League.

Darcy prevailed 3-1 in the final match against Brent Patchin who put up a good challenge but didn’t match Darcy’s consistency in the end. The first frame was a back and forth battle that came down to a respotted black ball that Darcy potted. Brent took frame 2 and Darcy came back to win frame 3. Frame 4 was a good safety battle until Brent failed to get the white ball back to baulk and Darcy knocked in a break of 73 to win the match.

The consolation final was won by Ron Tatterton over Kevin Bingham.

The tournament was played at the Thornview 55+ snooker room. Special thanks go out to Paul Knapp for refereeing.

Congratulations to Darcy Fulton for winning the winter session of the Calgary Snooker League. This makes 2 in a row for Darcy after also winning the fall session.

Darcy came out on top 3-1 in the championship match against Qamarodin (Ramin) Haidary, played at the Ranchmans Club in Calgary.

The first frame was dominated by Darcy as he went a run of 33 immediately after the break and he kept adding to that total while not giving Ramin much of anything to shoot at.

The second frame was much closer with both players playing cautiously but Darcy again came away the winner.

The third frame was all Ramin as he took an early lead and then ran away with a superb break of 79.

Darcy wasn’t rattled by Ramin’s high run and calmly took control of the fourth frame for the victory.
