Wallace wins over Mason in a Decider to be League Champ!!!

As the fall session closed out in Steveson on Monday night, two great players gave us a great match to witness.  The league that started out in September reached its conclusion last night.  Lance Mason who was the winner of the regular season portion of the league and Gary Wallace was in third place.  Both players battled through the playoffs to get to the final stage.  Wallace drew first blood to win the opening frame, but Mason, a fierce competitor did not back down and won the next two frames to get within a frame of victory.  Gary showed his experience as he won the fourth frame to put us into a decider.  As we know with deciders, it’s anyone’s match and these two went back and forth.  Unfortunately in the later part of the frame Mason sacrificed a 7 point foul that helped expand Wallace’s lead in the frame.  Unfortunately for Lance as when they were on the colours, Mason’s cue inadvertently hit the blue ball causing a 5 point foul and the concession.  Congratulations to Gary on his win and thanks to all the players who participated.  Looking forward to the winter session that will start in January.
