The Sparrow Shield is the prize we have set forth to accomplish at the end of the season. Originally the Burroughs and Watts Shield with Jack Sparrow being their Manitoba billiards equipment representative. The shield was renamed the Jack Sparrow Shield after Burroughs and Watts discontinued the franchise. Jack died around 1967.

The shield is presented to the team which wins the league play offs – League Champions.

 

This year’s Winnipeg Veterans English Billiard League (WVEBL) Champion St James Legion – Team #2. Of note This was the 24th Shield for St James Legion going back to our Leagues start in 1921. Congratulations to the team – consisting of
