World Snooker Updates

Please note the following updates from World Snooker in relation to the 2016/17 season:

Player Warnings

From next season, when a player breaches terms of his World Snooker Player Contract he will be liable for an immediate fine, rather than receiving a warning first. The previous system has been that players receive a warning before they are fined.

Invitational Tour Cards

Thailand’s James Wattana is the only player who will be offered an Invitational Tour Card for the 2016/17 season. Steve Davis and Stephen Hendry have both previously received Invitational Tour Cards but Davis has now retired while Hendry has not competed in a tournament since 2012.
