What a great event to finish off the year.  Bill Yang and Albert Lam had a great battle in the final of the shootout.  It looked like we were going to a blue ball sudden death shootout, but Yang was able to make a black to secure the victory!!  A wonderful night full of snooker, laughs, food, and drink.

 

Big thanks to Jonathan Sun and the crew at Top 147 that helped us have a great event.  Thanks Jonathan for providing a great spread of food.  Much gratitude to Carmen and Yoko for making sure all of us had a cold drink in hand.

 

In addition, much gratitude to Rob Johnson and his crew at AAA labs with creating the poster to get the word out to everyone about the event.  Also big thanks to Rob for taking great pictures.

As well we are talking to some professional players and seeing in their off season if they would like to come to Vancouver to do some exhibitions.  So stay tuned for that.

 

Upcoming Tournaments

 

The BC Open is scheduled for Feb. 17-19, 2023.  Registration is not open, but mark the date on your calendar.  Registration will be opening up in the new year.

 

BC Open Qualifier #4 is scheduled for Jan. 14, 2023.  Registration is open, and to get your spot in the tournament, feel free to email  snookerdave21@gmail.com.  Deadline to pay and register is Jan.10, 2023.  As well, I am extremely pleased that everyone is getting the hang of paying by E-transfer, let’s keep up this trend, as it is so easy for all parties.

 

We will be hosting a Seattle Snooker Open qualifying tournament in the new year.  Keep your eyes posted for that event as it will be a 16 player event and 6 players will get a spot in the Seattle Snooker Open.  This event is being scheduled to be played at OX Billiards in Seattle in mid march.

 

Also you can still sign up for the winter session of the CSL.
